Martin Green is a Senior VP of CNET Networks and runs the Community Group. Green has been with CNET Networks since July 1996.

He's responsible for Webshots, Chowhound, Consumating and the upcoming food site,

CNET Networks Community Group is helping to grow CNET Networks beyond technology, by building branded communities in key lifestyle categories.

Before running the community group, Martin was SVP Operations, reporting to the COO of CNET Networks, and running financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, yield management and pricing for all the domestic media businesses.

Earlier at CNET Networks, he ran the CNET commerce business and oversaw

Before joining CNET in 1996, Green worked in New York and Menlo Park with Morgan Stanley.

Originally from England, Green was educated in Canada and arrived in the US in 1994.

He lives in Marin county, california with his wife, daughter and a yellow dog called George.

Although he has tons of opinions about internet media, he is a closet finance geek.
